Hotels In Paris Tennessee

How much would my trip to Paris, France from Tennessee cost?

I took four years of French and would love to award myself by taking a trip there. I would also bring my two parents because they are in desperate need of a good trip. I want to pay for everything. So, how much would it be in total for all three of us to go spend about a week in Paris?
As in:
Hotel
round-trip plane tickets
food

If you go in the summer, the plane tickets for the 3 of you could total $4500. For hotels, think $150-200/day. Food? You can save $ the way I do, by buying groceries. Some ppl feel that they must eat out every meal, but no French person does this. The way I see it, the groceries in France are considered gourmet in the US and besides, many supermarkets do have a deli section where you can get some cooked foods for less than a sit down meal. You are very thoughtful in thinking of taking your parents on the trip. For a more exact figure, check the fares online (e.g. Continental Airlines, Air France, US Airways, etc.). Bon voyage!

Whats a good budget hotel near night life in Paris?

2 Rugby fans staying for one night in Paris. Got to be budget but central. Near bars etc High speed internet etc not required. Just need a bed and a wiked location

Please dont give me areas – I need specific hotels please

My Favorite the Hotel St. Andre des Artes is a good choice. Its in the 6th arrondissement just over the boundry with the 5th. The area is filled with pleasant bars, restaurants and cafes. You can see more of the hotel at this website: http://www.123france.com/en/0/hotel-saint-andre-des-arts-paris_486_en/index.html

Right across the street is Le Mazet where Jim Morrison had his last drink. Corcoran’s Irish Pub down the block is especially convivial and the Pub St. Germain around the corner claims to serve more brands of beer than any other place in paris. Here’s a little video of the Cafe Conti which is at the end of the block. It will give you and idea of the neighborhood ambience: http://www.paris-zoom.com/video/259/Le-Conti.html#VIDEO

which area should a tourist stay in paris?

first time visitor want to view the eiffel tower and wants a hotel that is not too far from charles de gaulle airport

Any of the central areas will do, but I like the Marais. Not close to either of the things you mention, but with the Metro, distance is not a problem.

Where should I visit on my trip to France?

I am traveling with my mother during the first part of spring vacation to France to check out some of the delicious food, amazing architecture, beautiful art, and interesting culture of the country, and I’m just wondering if anyone has any suggestions where we should go or what exactly we should do. For the first few days we will be roaming around the Paris region visiting the classics and staying with some friends she knows in Paris, after that we will be taking the train, along with her friends’ daughter, and renting a car to stay in a hotel in Rennes and visit some of the beaches, small towns, and attractions nearby. We have researched some, like Mont St. Michel, and know of the obvious beauties like the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, and Notre Dame, but I’m just wondering if anyone has any other interesting ideas. Thanks!

Pere La Chaise cemetery (Oscar Wilde and a few other notables are buried there), Sacre-Coeur and the Montmartre district are really pretty, the Orsay museum is good, if you are into modern art the Pompidou centre would be good, the Luxembourg garden is a nice place to stroll, the Latin Quarter is a nice place, the Champs-Elysee is nice, if you can try to visit an open air market, the Garnier Opera House (Phantom of the Opera is based off of it), Les Invalides has a medieval museum in it and is where Napoleon is buried, and the Marais district has some interesting architecture.

Paris Metro – RER Question?

I am going to Paris soon and am mapping my route from the Airport to my hotel. I know I take the RER B, but my question is, I am looking at a metro map and not understanding where to get off the RER and catch the metro. My metro stop is Les Gobelins. Thanks if you can help. I want to be well prepared.

The easiest way to get to Les Gobelins from Charles de Gaulle airport -which I assume you’ll be arriving at- is by taking the RER B to Chatelet – Les Halles. There change to metro line n° 7 (which is the pink coloured line on maps) towards Mairie d’Ivry.

What time is the last Paris bus (number 24) on a Thursday from P.O.P. Bercy towards Maison Alfort?

I am travelling to Paris in March next year to see a concert in the P.O.P. Bercy but to return back to the hotel (closest stop Port Aux Lions) by bus is confusing me as the interactive map is telling me that an evening service on the 24 bus route runs and the timetable (so I’ve interpreted but I may be wrong) states that the evening section of the 24 route runs between Gare D’Austerlitz and Maison Alfort and that the last bus is 01h05, but then underneath it has another section that says between Maubert-Mutualité and Maison Alfort which ends at 21h41!!

I’ve also checked with RATP’s journey planner and its telling me to catch the N32 Noctilien bus (I’ve done a journey for the end of September as the times are the same I believe).

Can anyone tell me when the last 24 bus is from P.O.P. Bercy to Port Aux Lions is on a Thursday as I don’t know how safe it would be to walk back after the show.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

The last bus from Bercy to Port aux Lions leaves Gare d’Austerlitz at 01h05 on weekdays in March (from September to June). During the day the 24 route is longer, but then it is limited to the section between Gare d’Austerlitz and Maison Alfort in the evenings. The reason the N32 is coming up is probably because the first N32 night bus comes past the stop a little bit earlier than the last 24 – if you made your start time a little later (say 01h00) the 24 should come up.

Driving from Paris to Switzerland — 3 days at end of February 2010?

My first drive in this direction. 3 day power trip :) Plan to drive to Bern and spend the night, then drive to Lucerne via Interlaken and stay there and then drive back via Basel on third day. Any pointers would be much appreciated — Driving conditions, hotel suggestions, parking, “must see” suggestions….I have a limited budget.

Ever heard of so called search engines that would do the job for you…? And entering your question into the “Search for questions” windows would have brought instant access to hundreds of answers to the very same question, too.
